The Co-operative Party is a political party that promotes co-operative values. It is aligned to the Labour Party. I am a member of both parties.

This evening was the Central Midlands Co-op Party Branch meeting. We discussed the plans for the region for the year, and how we bounce back as a movement from an extremely disappointing General Election result. We had an open and honest discussion about what went wrong during the election and what lessons we could learn for the future.

The Branch is full of long term co-operators, who have seen the good and the bad. They know that if we regroup and build on our co-operative values, we can rebuild for the next election, even if it is a very painful period of time before the next election.
